How can I help with the event if I’m not running?
A. Thank you for your interest. The race relies on volunteers acting as stewards and giving out drinks and medals every year. If you’re not running it’s a great way to ensure the event is a success and helps raise lots of money for charities to continue doing their vital work. If you’re a student it’s also great experience to put on your CV and a fun thing to do with friends. To find out more please email us.
Creating a JustGiving Fundraising Page
If the organiser of your event has partnered with any charities, you may be given the option to create a fundraising page directly within the system.
If you didn’t elect to create a fundraising page immediately after completing payment for your event, you can do so by viewing your booking via the link in your confirmation email and clicking to Setup Fundraising Page where indicated. You will be asked to sign in to your existing JustGiving account (or create a new one), and then give permission for eventrac to create a fundraising page on your behalf.
Once approved, the next page will ask you to select your charity (if there are multiple charity partners, else the charity will be pre-selected), confirm and/or update the Page Title, set a fundraising target (if not already populated by the orgainser as an entry requirement), opt-in to future communications from the relevant Charity, and finally add your fundraising story.
On submission of the form, you will then be returned to your booking which will now display the linked Fundraising Page and a summary of your current fundraising total (refreshed daily). Your individual page will also then be linked to the main event page on JustGiving, contributing to the overall total.
